OK, get this....
this is one of the rivers close to us, the one closest is the one you must cross to get to the world famous spot where the big Leatherback turtles come from the Galapagos to lay their eggs on the beach called Playa Grande.
We are right beside it thus we have special turtle lights on our building and within our landscaping.
These rivers can be very very dangerous, after the rainy season stops, and just at the end of it.
The rivers are swollen and flowing fast. The young crocs get swept down and cannot find a permanent spot in their river as the old guard won't allow them.
So they come down the rivers, into the ocean, right where we swim ...........I just found out,
and swim along the coast until they search and find another river that they can claim as their home.
Now I sat in this river, right where it meets the ocean the day I had my "AHA" moment and thought...gee we need to be more relaxed in life and less stressed,
we work too hard,
hey...
we should move here....
and now you know the rest of the story:)
Had a croc come along while I sat there in my moment I am sure we'd be home shovellin snow right now....LOL
